Deepika Kumari was born on 13 June 1994 in Ranchi. His father’s name is Shivnarayan Mahato, who is an auto driver and his mother’s name is Geeta Mahto, who is a nurse in Ranchi Medical College. Deepika made her career with professional archery in the year 2006 and joined Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur. He got Rs 500 as stipend. She was the second Indian after Paltan Hansada to win the junior compound competition at the 2006 Archery World Cup in Mérida, Mexico. At the age of 15, he won the 11th Youth World Archery Championship held in Ogden, Utah, United States in 2009.

Deepika won two gold medals in the women’s team recurve event at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. She was awarded the CWG (Female) Award for Outstanding Performance at the 2010 Sahara Sports Awards ceremony. Deepika won her first singles World Cup gold medal in 2012 in Antalya, Turkey.

In 2013 m he won the gold medal in Archery World Cup stage 3 held in Medellin, Colombia. In 2014, Deepika was listed as one of the ’30 Under 30′ by Forbes (India). She failed to make it to the Indian team for 2014 after falling out of the top 4 in the national qualifiers. She secured an Olympic quota in the fringe continental qualification tournament of the 21st Asian Archery Championship in Bangkok in November 2019. Deepika won 3 gold medals in the Archery World Cup Stage 3 tournament in Paris 2021. He scored the 13th triple. Swarna and Hyundai became the 11th archers to achieve the feat in the 15-year history of the Archery World Cup.
