career
Rishi started playing cricket from a young age. He spent more time practicing cricket than studying. His family also gave him full support in playing cricket. Rishi made his One Day International debut on 17 January 2016, scoring 12 runs in 3 matches with 1 four. He then made his T20 International debut on 18 June 2016. Rishi has played List-A, First Class and T20 for Himachal Pradesh.
IPL career
His IPL career started in 2008, the same year Rishi was included in his team by Punjab Kings by paying 8 lakh rupees. He could not play a single match till 2009-12 due to a head injury. He was included in his team by Mumbai Indians in 2013 for 20 lakhs.
Rishi was picked up by Punjab Kings from 2014 to 2016 by paying 30 lakhs. In IPL 2017, Rishi was included in the squad for Rs 55 lakh by Kolkata Knight Riders, the team that won the 2014 IPL trophy. Rishi did not play a single IPL match from 2018 to 2021.
